Web design should have Flash content..

CATEGORY: Web Design

A lot of people approach web design with the idea that a website should have a wild array of flashy multimedia content. Images should constantly be changing, there should be a clever splash screen before users get to the home page and so on. You can do all sorts with web technology, so why not make use of all of it right?

Wrong. The majority of users online have a lot of web experience and are past enjoying splash screens and Flash content as a novelty. When most people use the web these days they are mainly trying to access information as quickly as possible. Anything that distracts or pops up in front of this information will only irritate a savvy web user and lead them away from that website.

Why prevent someone from accessing the details of your business? Think of the most popular websites around, Google, Amazon etc. - there's nothing fancy going on, it's all purely informational, getting the message and the products to the customers with as little fuss as possible.

The most effective use of web design and web development is with a website that contains no unnecessary information and displays all the relevant material in a way that will seem logical to the potential client.
